About the Author of the BOOK: “RETHINKING PROGRESS - TOWARDS A CREATIVE TRANSFORMATION OF GLOBAL SOCIETY”. Hari Lamba is an engineer by profession and works in the railroad supply industry. He has spent many years in voluntary efforts involved in environment, development, and globalization issues. The primary focus has been global, because of which he is involved in global environment issues. The following is summary of his activities Personal: Renewable Energy: Has installed a Solar Electric system at home, and is a member of the Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) North America: Attends the activities of most environment and develoment groups and is seeking to revive the Earth Summit Network, an as yet informal group, involved with global and North American issues. India and South Asia: Active in encouraging sustainable development (as defined in his book) in India and South Asia and in promoting harmony between different linguistic, ethnic, and religious groups. Globally: The objective will be to encourage and organize largescale and comprehensive activities to restore the global environment, helping nations to sustainably develop in ways that are beneficial to all, and help with development activities (global poverty, health, trade, etc.) |
